Dr Carolyn Mathews came as a migrant with her family from Singapore growing up in Australia in the 1950/60s. She had a successful working career as a university educator and researcher. She is widely travelled and has worked in Australian and overseas universities. Her family stories and a desire to know her shrouded family history have culminated in this, her first book.

Caro lives with her partner in a self-sustainable off-the-grid rural property on the beautiful Fleurieu Peninsula in South Australia.
