For most of his professional career Andy has been involved in financial markets.
Based on his financial market experience, Andy is a Senior Associate of Finsia, holds a Bachelor of Science (Melbourne University), a Diploma of Financial Markets (Securities Institute) and the Diploma of Financial Planning (Deakin). He is currently studying towards a Bachelor of Behavioural Studies– Psychology major, Advanced Psychology and Sociology minors from Swinburne University.
His work with the financial advice community has seen him author over 200 financial advice practice management articles, and Andy was at one time of the most widely shared and read contributors to Australian financial industry publications such as Risk Adviser, IFA and RiskInfo. He brings with him to this venture the 30 years of experience in financial markets, academic research in the fields of psychology and neuroscience and financial advice best practice real stories.
In 2014 and again in 2015 Andy was one of the Judges for the Australian Association of Financial Advisers adviser of the year and practice of the year awards. Andy applied his “PERFECT†model to assess the client experience and business processes of the finalists.
He has created over 50 adviser facing presentations utilised by the Australian advice industry press, dealing with technical skills to the psychology of client engagement.
Always irreverent and entertaining Andy delivers this work, this guide to well-being as his first public facing piece of literature from a desire to make a positive difference into the lives of people.
As Andy often says you have to “be nice to the humansâ€. And he believes that all of us need to play a role in making our society a gentler, more accepting, more forgiving one.
