Philip Bishop is a family man based in the Hills district of Sydney with wife Karen and three children. UK-born Phil is an avid traveller and playing rugby brought him to Australia after a season in New Zealand way back in 1994.

After several careers he has penned his life experiences to help create the characters of Skipper and Rocky who perform adventurous rescues and help teach about the environment, morals and social responsibility. Reading to his young children motivated him to develop the story lines that not only teach but create an awareness of the dangers associated with all water activities.

With so many drownings around the world daily, if we can save one life or help protect a species through the series, we have accomplished a great achievement.
